• You can use most read-only Tools features without signing in.
• We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
• Signing in is required to send Galaxy Chat messages and use account- or staff-restricted features.
• Galaxy Chat messages are public to people who can view the in-game or web chat and may be retained for continuity and moderation.

Information we process

Account and authentication information

When you sign in, Evolve Tools receives your username and password and passes them to the SWG Evolve identity service for verification. Evolve Tools does not store your password. The identity service returns the account ID, username, roles, administrative access level, and associated station identifiers needed to authorize Tools features. If multi-factor authentication is enabled, we also process the challenge identifier and verification code needed to complete that sign-in.

We create an opaque session identifier after a successful sign-in. Browser sessions use a secure, HTTP-only cookie. Native mobile sessions store the identifier in operating-system secure storage. Tools sessions expire after 24 hours and are invalidated when you sign out or when the service restarts.

Game and character information

Evolve Tools reads information from SWG Evolve game services and databases to provide its features. Depending on the page you use, this may include character names and identifiers, profession or faction information, wealth and gameplay statistics, resources, schematics, items, marketplace listings, guilds, cities, pets, waypoints, combat activity, bounties, Force Ranking System activity, and Galactic Civil War activity. Some account or administrative data is restricted to authorized users.

Galaxy Chat and moderation

If you send a Galaxy Chat message, we process the selected character, account or station association, message text, message identifiers, and time sent. Messages are delivered to the in-game global channel and are intended to be visible to other players and visitors who can read Galaxy Chat. Do not post personal or sensitive information in chat.

Authorized staff may remove messages and review chat history. We may retain the message, the staff identity, the moderation reason, and related identifiers as needed to operate and moderate the service.

Technical and device information

Our servers and security controls may process your IP address, request URL, request time, response status, authentication events, rate-limit activity, and error or diagnostic information. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot Evolve Tools.

The app may store preferences on your device, including resource-table layout, saved expertise builds, saved ship loadouts, and install-prompt choices. Native apps also store the active session token and expiration time in secure storage. You can remove this device data by clearing site or app data or uninstalling the app.

Where information comes from

Information may come directly from you, from the shared SWG Evolve identity and game services, from the StationAPI chat service, and from official Discord activity feeds used to compile bounty and combat statistics.

How we use information

• Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve Evolve Tools.
• Authenticate users and enforce account, character-ownership, staff, and administrative permissions.
• Display current and historical game, marketplace, community, and PvP information.
• Deliver, retain, filter, and moderate Galaxy Chat.
• Prevent abuse, apply rate limits, investigate errors, and protect players and services.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable community rules.

When information is shared

We share information within the SWG Evolve services when necessary to provide the feature you request—for example, with the identity service to verify a sign-in or the chat service to send a message. Public game records, marketplace activity, statistics, character names, and Galaxy Chat messages may be visible to other users.

We may use hosting, network, content-delivery, and app-distribution providers to operate Evolve Tools. Requests for externally hosted fonts or application libraries may expose ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to those providers. Google Play and Apple process information under their own policies when you download or update a native app.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the service, or as part of a service reorganization. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Tools sessions expire after 24 hours. Device preferences remain until you clear them or uninstall the app. Game history, activity statistics, Galaxy Chat records, moderation records, and security logs may be kept longer where needed to provide historical features, investigate abuse, maintain service integrity, or meet legal obligations. A message removed from public view may still be retained in moderation or backup records for a limited period.

Your choices and requests

You may browse most Tools features without signing in, choose not to send Galaxy Chat messages, sign out to invalidate your session, and clear locally stored app data through your browser or device settings.

Evolve Tools does not provide in-app account creation. To ask about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy matter involving your SWG Evolve account or content, submit a request through the official SWG Evolve support portal. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some records may be retained where required for security, moderation, legal compliance, or the integrity of shared game records.

Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted network connections, restricted service access, secure browser cookies, operating-system secure storage for native session tokens, permission checks, and rate limits. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and enable multi-factor authentication when available.

Children’s privacy

Evolve Tools is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us through the support portal.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Evolve Tools changes. We will post the revised policy at this address and update the effective date above. Material changes may also be announced through the website or community channels.
